Dispute Policy

Last updated: May 10, 2026

Metbaber is committed to fair and transparent resolution of disputes between Clients and Workers. This policy outlines the process for raising, reviewing, and resolving disputes.

1. When to raise a dispute

You may raise a dispute if:

  • A Worker does not deliver the task as described (e.g., fake proof, incomplete work, low quality).
  • A Client unreasonably rejects legitimate work to avoid payment.
  • A Worker reverses a completed task after payment (e.g., unfollowing, unliking, deleting a post).
  • A Client requests work outside the original task description.

Disputes must be raised within 7 days of task submission (for Clients) or within 3 days of payment release (for Workers). After these periods, the transaction is considered final.

2. How to raise a dispute

Clients: On the order page, click "Raise Dispute". Provide a clear explanation and upload evidence (screenshots, links, etc.). Alternatively, email disputes@metbaber.com.et with your order ID.

Workers: If a Client rejects your submission unfairly, use the "Appeal" button on the order page. Include proof that you completed the task.

3. Investigation process

Once a dispute is raised:

  • Both parties may submit additional evidence within 48 hours.
  • Metbaber's dispute team will review all messages, task instructions, proof of work, and any other relevant information.
  • We aim to issue a preliminary decision within 3 business days. Complex cases may take up to 7 days.
  • Funds related to the disputed task are frozen until the decision is made.

⚖️ Important: Reversing tasks is prohibited

Workers who intentionally undo a task after payment (e.g., removing a follow, like, or download) will lose the dispute automatically, have their account permanently banned, and forfeit all pending earnings. Clients who attempt chargeback fraud will be banned and reported to financial authorities.

4. Possible outcomes

  • Full payment to Worker: If the Worker provided valid proof and completed the task as described.
  • Partial payment: If the task was partially completed or had minor issues. The amount is decided by Metbaber.
  • Full refund to Client: If the Worker failed to deliver or submitted fraudulent proof.
  • Cancellation with no payment: If both parties are at fault or the task violates our policies.

Metbaber's decision is final and binding. No further appeals are possible.

5. Dispute fees

If Metbaber determines that a party raised a dispute in bad faith (e.g., frivolous claims, false accusations), we may impose a fee of up to 100 Birr or suspend the account. Legitimate disputes are free.

6. Escalation to legal authorities

In cases involving fraud, identity theft, or criminal activity, Metbaber reserves the right to report the offending party to Ethiopian law enforcement and share relevant evidence. We fully cooperate with legal investigations.
